Hey everyone! Been awhile as I've been re-tooling lots of stuff behind the scene and making plans to make this website more useful for those of you hoping to play more advanced ukulele in your own neighborhoods. I'm beefing up all the teaching materials and I'm staying focused on getting everything into both regular and baritone ukulele. (Baritones are irregular, don't'cha know.)
And, for those of you who just keep insisting that standard notation is super important to you, I'm making a bigger effort to care about getting you what you think you want, but please know on ukulele it's not as essential as what you may think, and re-entrant tuning turns the whole thing into a bit of a show. Nevertheless, I know you care about it, so I will too.
I've moved Stephen Foster to the member's section. I like his melodies, but I don't like him. He was highly regarded during his time and wrote some amazing melodies, but I really hate teaching his music due to the cumbersome history surrounding him, so I'm going to move him off of Book 2. He's still around, just over in the member's section.
As a replacement, I'm going to start adding Asian music into Book 2. We've done very little of it over the years and I'm excited to get going. In a subsequent post I'll give you the first piece of music from Japan to play in at least three different ways.
