This is the week all the ukulele work we do suddenly becomes worthwhile. The Rocky Mountain Ukulele Orchestra of Denver (and all of their 80-ish members) play the first concert of their semi-annual world tour today (August 25) at 2 pm. Mountain time. It's free at Historic Grant Street . If you're near Denver, drop everything and go cheer them on. AND, the big fancy concert is Tuesday night (August 28) at the Lakewood Cultural Center, so go buy tickets online and let's continue to make large group instrumental ukulele something every neighborhood in the world aspires to have. Theoretically I have an arrangement of Take the A-Train in the show. We'll see if it made the cut. If you're nowhere near Denver, I'm hoping to catch a broadcast on their YouTube account.
